Peotone Youth Football & Cheerleading Program
One Team. One Dream.
The Peotone Blue Demon Youth Football and Cheerleading Program was founded in early 2006 by parents and members in the community, and surrounding communities, that wanted to establish a quality feeder program for the Peotone High School Football Program. The team name is known as the “Peotone Blue Demons.” Our team is a not for profit organization. No individual, group or its members profit from any purchase made by this program without Board approval. The Peotone Blue Demon Football and Cheerleading Program was a proud founding member of the I. V. Y. Tackle Football League and is now the Newly founded and member of the I8 Youth Tackle Football League.
Our program currently offers football and cheer levels of Dynos to Varsity, therefore providing all the necessary skills and knowledge to build safe and successful teams. Our 2019 season saw all of our cheer levels placing at competition! And our Super Lightweight football team made Blue Demons history by being the first team in our organization to win the Super Bowl!!! Congrats to all our players, coaches and supportive family and friends.
Goals and Objectives
It is our goal to develop well-rounded young men and women through the encouragement of teamwork, self-discipline, leadership, friendship, and integrity. The Peotone Youth Football and Cheerleading Program seek to inspire youth by establishing good sportsmanship, regardless of race, creed, national origin or financial need. Our organization encourages the importance of education by developing a sound mind, body and character.
The objective and purpose of our organization is to provide an opportunity for the children of our community to learn the fundamentals of football and cheerleading by providing a safe, organized, and supervised environment.
The Peotone Blue Demons aspire to develop discipline, respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork in our children at a young age so they may learn them early and carry them into adulthood.
Updates for the 2020 Season
We are committed to providing a program in which safety is our number one concern and providing the children with the proper equipment to ensure safety. We purchase new equipment as needed and have our current equipment reconditioned every two years.
Our program is growing, which is exciting! We are enthusiastic about this expansion. With that being said, we have an opportunity to have our own field. We have purchased a portable scoreboard and goalposts for our field but are still working to make this space our home. A larger, more visible scoreboard would make a big difference. Our concession stand is not our own and requires us to pay rent, those reducing possible profits. Also, it is not located near our field which is an inconvenience to our families and guests and often deters customers. We have been given permission to erect a structure closer to our space. Be on the look out for some big changes in the next few years!!!!
We feel the foundation of any good youth program should be kids first and we are dreaming big to provide the best facilities possible for the children.
