Dear Blue Demons Families:
We hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Practice will begin the first week of August. Below you will find some important information regarding our 2010 Football and Cheerleading Season.
Football equipment handout will take place on Saturday, July 24th and July 31st from 9 am – noon at the Peotone Park District Building. Your registration fees and volunteer check must be received with payment in full before your child will receive their equipment. Please check with our Treasurer, Char Ruhbeck at (708) 542-4000 or momof532@sbcglobal.net for any inquiries regarding payment. If you have any questions regarding football equipment, please feel free to contact our Equipment Manager, Chris Forsythe at (708) 217-0139 or forsythe18@sbcglobal.net; or our Assistant Equipment Manager, Brian Orzel at (708) 473-6213 or brianorzel13@yahoo.com.
Please make sure that you have turned in all registration paperwork including birth certificate and sports physical. Your child will not be able to participate without a sport physical on file with the organization. There will be no exceptions.
Practice begins on Monday, August 2nd in the open area just behind the football field located at the Peotone Junior High School from 5:30-7:30. Football players and cheerleaders should be ready to go at 5:30 pm and parents should be ready to pick them up at 7:30 pm. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriated and has a sufficient supply of water for the length of the practice. The weather can change quickly please return to the field immediately to retrieve your child in severe weather.
We are in the process of updating our website. Please make you that you register to receive emails and newsletters. Our calendar should be posted on the website. We also on Facebook. We will have updates and announcements posted on Facebook as well. Please come check us out.
Volunteering is important to the success of our program. There are many opportunities for parents and other members in our community to get involved. Please let us know if you are intereseted in being a member of one of our many committees including banquet; concessions; field maintenance; fundraising; Homecoming (parade, dance, game); Spirit Wear; and Sponsorship.
