League Information
The Peotone Blue Demons are proud members of the Metro Youth Football League, Inc. The Metro League was established in 1984 with teams from the southland Chicago area.
Levels and Season Format
Currently, the league is broken into the following 4 divisions:
Super Pee-Wee (instructional) 8 and under, under 85 lbs.
Pee-Wee 10 and under, under 100 lbs.
Widget 11-12, under 120 lbs.
Junior 13-14, under 150 lbs.
The ages above are figured before 11/15 of the current year.
For example, if a child was born on 11/16/95 then that player would be on the Junior team, regardless of the weight of the player. Alternately if a player was born on 09/25/98, but weighed 110 lbs, then the player would be on the Widget team.
Each team plays an eight game schedule, with one cross conference game. The League is split into 2 conferences, AFC and NFC as shown below:
| AFC | NFC | ||
| East | West | East | West |
| Orland Park | Worth | Oak Lawn | Frankfort Sq. |
| Hessville | Blue Island | Palos | Mt. Greenwood |
| Alsip | Burbank | Lansing | Peotone |
| Hickory Hills | Hegewish | Hayes Park | Evergreen Park |
